This pouf was designed for the sole purpose of reusing the enormous amount of packing peanuts we receive from one of our packing suppliers. I have always been an environmentalist at heart and I will try to find a way to repurpose EVERYTHING and packing peanuts should definitily not end up in the land fill. Once they are exposed to UV rays, they emit toxic air pollutants that contaminate the landfill and deplete the ozone layer (not to mention the damage they cause being manufactured in the first place). Instead, here they are, in my basement, waiting to find a new purpose. Luckily, those tiny environmental hazards have found a new home inside this handmade crochet pouf! They hold their shape nicely and if the ottoman ever needs refilling, it is finished with a drawstring to allow easy opening and retying.
