These relics of the depression era were mass produced and distributed at a very low cost as an economical option for those who couldn't afford crystal dishware. During The Great Depression, a 12 piece set sold for just under two dollars. These pieces are not of great value today, but as a way to return them to circulation, we decided to turn them into hand-poured beeswax candles.
BEESWAX + COCONUT OIL
CANDLE SIZE: 2.5" diameter x 3"high
BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. Allow candle to burn until wax melts the entire top layer. This will allow evening burning every time. Another way to know how long you should burn your candle is to measure the diameter of the container in inches and burn your candle for that number of hours. For example, if your candle is 4" in diameter then you should burn it for 4 hours.
WARNING: To prevent fire or injury: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch on fire. Trim wick before relighting.
